Spark Logic is an early thinking and problem-solving program for children aged 3 to 5. It focuses on building foundational cognitive skills through patterns, shapes, classification, mazes, spatial thinking, observation and logical reasoning.

Rather than focusing on numbers and letters, Spark Logic helps young children develop the thinking skills that make all future learning easier and more natural.

Spark Math is our maths program for children from Prep to Year 6, aged approximately 5 to 12. It is based on the Singapore Math approach, which focuses on genuine understanding rather than memorising formulas.

Classes use the CPA method: Concrete (hands-on materials), Pictorial (visual models) and Abstract (numbers and symbols). Children move through these stages in order so they understand what the maths actually means before working with numbers.

Spark Math covers number sense, fractions, decimals, multiplication, word problems, bar modelling and problem-solving. It is designed to build long-term maths confidence, not just short-term test scores.

Singapore Math is a teaching method developed in Singapore that consistently produces strong maths results worldwide. It focuses on helping children understand mathematical concepts deeply rather than memorising steps.

The core approach is called CPA: Concrete, Pictorial and Abstract. Children first work with physical objects to understand a concept, then move to visual diagrams and models, and finally work with numbers and symbols. This order ensures children understand the "why" behind every answer, not just the method.

The Spark Passport is our student rewards system. Children can earn points during class through effort, participation, completing homework, practising and building positive learning habits.

Points can later be exchanged for small rewards and prizes from our rewards shelf. The Spark Passport is designed to help children feel recognised, motivated and excited about coming to class each week.

If your child is working above their year group, we will recommend a class level that matches where they are, so they continue to be challenged and engaged.

That is exactly the situation we are here to help with. Many of our students join Spark Logic Academy because they are struggling with a subject at school and have started to lose confidence.

Our small group classes give teachers the time to identify exactly where a child is finding things difficult, and to work through those gaps at the child's own pace. We focus on building genuine understanding, not just drilling answers.

It is not too late. The Year 6 to Year 7 transition in Queensland is one of the most significant academic shifts in a child's schooling. The jump in content difficulty is real, and many children who were doing well in primary school find Year 7 more challenging than expected.

Starting Spark Math or another program in Year 6 or early Year 7 gives children the time to strengthen their foundations before the content becomes significantly harder. Earlier is better, but it is never too late to close a gap.

Our teachers observe each child's progress during every class. Because our classes are small, teachers can track how each student is developing and notice when a child needs extra support or is ready to move ahead.

If you have questions about your child's progress at any point, you are welcome to speak with the teacher directly or contact our team by WhatsApp or phone.

We ask parents to wait outside the classroom during classes so that children can focus fully on their learning. Many children settle into class much more easily when parents are not in the room.
