Refund & Payment Policy
This Refund & Payment Policy explains how fees, payments, class packages, missed classes, make-up lessons, cancellations, class pauses and refunds are handled at Spark Logic Academy Pty Ltd.
This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
This policy is provided for general website and enrolment information. A separate enrolment form, invoice, payment agreement or package agreement may apply when a child is enrolled in a program. Final payment, refund, cancellation and make-up lesson rules should be confirmed with Spark Logic Academy before enrolment.

2. Fees and Pricing
Fees may vary depending on the program, level, package, term, class duration, materials and availability.
Spark Logic Academy does not publish the full price list on the website. Parents and guardians should contact our team directly for current fees, packages and availability.
Parents and guardians should confirm the applicable fees, package rules, material fees, payment due dates, class availability and enrolment conditions before making payment.
3. Math Package Payment
Math programs are generally paid by package.
For Math, one package is usually 10 classes. A half-year package may also be available, which includes 20 paid classes plus 2 free classes as a cheaper package option.
Package availability, price, class level, start date and expiry conditions should be confirmed with Spark Logic Academy before payment.
4. English Term Payment
English programs are generally paid by term.
English lesson fees may depend on the student’s level. A different lesson fee may apply if English is taken together with Math.
Please contact Spark Logic Academy for the current English fee, term structure and class availability.
5. Trial Assessment
Spark Logic Academy offers a 30-minute, one-on-one, face-to-face trial assessment between the teacher and the child.
The trial assessment helps the teacher understand the child’s current level, confidence and learning needs, and helps the team recommend the most suitable program or class.
A trial assessment booking does not guarantee a class place, timetable, teacher, program availability or enrolment. Enrolment is subject to availability and confirmation by Spark Logic Academy.
6. Payment and Class Place Confirmation
A child’s class place may not be confirmed until Spark Logic Academy has confirmed the class placement and the required payment or enrolment confirmation has been received.
Parents and guardians are responsible for making payment by the due date using the payment method approved by Spark Logic Academy.
If payment is not received by the required due date, Spark Logic Academy may release the class place, delay enrolment, suspend attendance, or cancel the booking, subject to any agreement made with the parent or guardian.
7. Material Fees
Material fees, if applicable, must be paid together with tuition fees unless Spark Logic Academy confirms otherwise.
Material fees are generally not refunded separately. A material fee may only be refunded if Spark Logic Academy needs to process a whole refund due to an issue.
Parents and guardians should confirm the applicable material fee before enrolment or payment.
8. Attendance and Absence
Students should attend classes on time and follow the agreed class schedule.
If a child cannot attend a scheduled class, parents or guardians should notify Spark Logic Academy as early as possible.
Absence from a scheduled class does not automatically create a refund, credit or lesson extension.
No refund or lesson extension is provided for absence, subject to any rights parents or guardians may have under Australian Consumer Law.
9. Make-Up Lessons
Make-up lessons may be available depending on the child’s level, class timing and availability.
Make-up lessons are generally offered only for the same level in the same week. In some cases, a make-up lesson may be arranged for another suitable level in another week if Spark Logic Academy confirms it is appropriate and available.
Make-up lessons are not guaranteed unless confirmed by Spark Logic Academy.
If no suitable make-up lesson is available, missed classes are not automatically refunded or extended.
10. Cancellations
Cancellation requests should be made as early as possible and must be confirmed with Spark Logic Academy.
Cancellation may be accepted within 2 days, depending on the enrolment status, class placement, package, payment status and whether the class place has already been reserved.
If cancellation is not made within the required 2-day period, refunds may be unavailable, subject to the applicable enrolment terms and Australian Consumer Law.
Parents and guardians should confirm the cancellation rule before making payment.
11. Refunds Before Class Placement Is Accepted
If a parent or guardian requests cancellation before the child’s class placement has been accepted or confirmed, Spark Logic Academy may consider a refund, subject to any applicable administration costs, transaction fees, used services, material fees, trial assessment fees, promotional discounts or other amounts permitted by law.
Any approved refund will usually be returned using the original payment method where practical.
12. Refunds After Class Placement Is Accepted
Once a child has been assigned to a class and the parent or guardian has accepted the class placement, refunds may be limited because the child’s place has been reserved and may no longer be available to another student.
After class placement acceptance, fees may be non-refundable or only partially refundable, depending on the package, enrolment agreement, number of classes used, notice given and circumstances of the cancellation.
No refund is provided for absence from scheduled classes, subject to any rights parents or guardians may have under Australian Consumer Law.
13. Class Pause or Suspension
Spark Logic Academy may allow a temporary class pause in urgent situations, depending on the reason, package, class availability and written approval from the team.
Class pause is generally not available for holiday reasons.
Any pause or suspension must be approved by Spark Logic Academy in writing. Unused classes may expire if the student does not resume within the approved period.
14. Free, Bonus or Promotional Classes
Free, bonus or promotional classes, if offered, have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
If a parent or guardian requests a refund or cancels a package, unused free, bonus or promotional classes may be cancelled and will not be refunded, transferred or converted into cash.
Discount vouchers, promotional codes or credits may be subject to their own conditions and may not be refundable or transferable.
15. Change of Mind
Refunds are generally not provided for change of mind after a class placement has been accepted, after a package or term has started, or after classes have been reserved, unless Spark Logic Academy agrees in writing or a refund is required by law.
Examples of change of mind may include choosing another provider, changing schedule preference after placement, deciding not to continue, or deciding not to attend after the place has been reserved.
16. Schedule Changes by Spark Logic Academy
Spark Logic Academy may need to postpone, reschedule, replace or cancel a class due to teacher availability, safety, enrolment numbers, operational reasons, illness, emergency, public holidays or other circumstances.
If Spark Logic Academy needs to reschedule or cancel a class, the team will try to provide a suitable replacement class, make-up option, credit, or other appropriate solution where reasonable.
17. Used Classes, Materials and Administration Costs
If a refund is approved, Spark Logic Academy may deduct amounts for:
- classes already attended or used;
- trial assessment fees, if applicable;
- materials, books, worksheets, course resources or learning kits already provided;
- bank, card or transaction fees;
- administration or cancellation costs, where permitted;
- discounts, vouchers, promotional credits or bonus items already used;
- any other amounts permitted by the applicable enrolment agreement and Australian Consumer Law.
18. Late or Failed Payments
If a payment fails, is declined, or remains unpaid after the due date, Spark Logic Academy may contact the parent or guardian to arrange payment.
If payment is not made within the required timeframe, Spark Logic Academy may suspend the student’s attendance, pause the enrolment, release the class place, or cancel the enrolment, subject to any agreement made with the parent or guardian.
19. Payment Disputes
If a parent or guardian believes there has been an error with a payment, invoice or charge, they should contact Spark Logic Academy as soon as possible with details of the issue.
Spark Logic Academy may request supporting information to review the issue, such as payment date, payment method, invoice number, bank record or communication history.
20. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Refund & Payment Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that parents, guardians or students may have under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws.
Australian Consumer Law provides consumer guarantees for services, and a customer may be entitled to a remedy if a service does not meet those guarantees. The available remedy may depend on the circumstances and whether the problem is major or minor.

Spark Logic Academy may update this Refund & Payment Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
Continued use of our website or services after updates are published may be treated as acceptance of the updated policy.
